More about Napa Street:
In the spring, Napa Street boasts a flowering magnolia, blooming cherry trees and many front gardens full of flowers. For a short street, there is a lot of gardening going on wherever there is a patch of earth. My neighbor always plants beautiful flowers that are magnificent in the spring. Her garden was the inspiration for this painting. I hope it brings a little bit of Napa Street to your home or office.
Napa Street (not to be confused with the town of Napa in Sonoma County) is a short, hilly street in Sausalito that ends in a view of Richardson Bay, which is an inlet of San Francisco Bay. There is a cooperative houseboat community at the foot of Napa Street called Galilee Harbor which maintains a beautiful community garden and public shoreline walk. A restored marsh nearby is full of egrets, herons, ducks and other water birds at low tide. There is also a public dock where people living on boats anchored out in the bay can tie up their dinghies when they come to shore.
